Best Interior Designers in Pune & PCMC - Areas We Serve
Twin Space Studio is an interior design studio based in Mahalunge, Baner — a boutique firm rather than a large interior design agency, so you deal with the designers directly. We design and deliver turnkey residential interiors across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, working on everything from 2 BHK apartments to duplexes and villas. Below are the twenty areas we work in most, what the housing stock is like in each, and how that shapes the interiors we build there.
The twenty areas we work in across Pune and PCMC, with the Mula, Mutha and Pavana rivers for orientation and rings at 5, 10 and 15 km from our studio in Mahalunge, Baner. River geometry © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Primary areas
These ten carry the highest concentration of the work we do — premium apartments, duplexes and new possessions across Pune's west, central and east corridors.
BanerProject delivered
Baner has become the address most people picture when they think of a modern Pune home — a mix of high-end 3 and 4 BHK apartments, duplexes and low-density towers running from the Balewadi High Street side across to Pashan Road. Buyers here tend to be senior tech professionals, business owners and returning NRIs, and they arrive with a clear sense of what they want the house to say.
That shows up in the briefs. Baner homes usually call for a properly specified modular kitchen, a built-in entertainment wall, and a balcony that works as an extra room rather than a drying area. It is also the area where we most often design across two levels — our duplex here carried marble, teak slats and brass floor to floor so the home read as one piece rather than two flats stacked. KharadiProject delivered
Kharadi runs on the EON IT Park and WTC corridor, and the residential towers that have gone up around them are handed over in large phases. That means a steady stream of new flats reaching possession at the same time, mostly bought by people working a few minutes away in tech and multinational roles.
The brief here is usually a first full fit-out rather than a renovation. Open living lounges, a kitchen specified properly the first time, and lighting that can be controlled without thinking about it come up again and again. Our Kharadi home used arched detailing at the foyer and repeated it in the guest bedroom wardrobe, which is the sort of single idea that holds a new flat together. See the project. WakadArea guide
Wakad carries some of the densest 2 and 3 BHK housing in west Pune, sitting between the Mumbai-Bangalore highway and Hinjawadi. It is a working, practical part of the city, and the homes reflect that — young families and couples, often first-time owners, taking possession in large societies.
Storage decides whether a Wakad flat works. Wardrobes to the ceiling rather than to a loft, a utility unit that takes the overflow from a compact kitchen, and a planned drop at the entry matter more here than any feature wall. Where the living and dining share one volume, the win is making that read as a single considered space instead of two leftover ones.
BalewadiProject delivered
Balewadi has shifted upmarket over the last few years, with gated townships and premium towers clustered around the High Street and the sports complex. It attracts buyers who want Baner's convenience with a bit more space, and the result is a steady market for full turnkey interiors rather than piecemeal work.
Contemporary panelling, concealed doors and hard-wearing kitchen utilities come up in almost every Balewadi brief. Opening the kitchen into the living room is a common request here and suits households that entertain — though we will talk you out of it if you cook heavily, because a closed kitchen keeps the smell and noise where they belong. KothrudProject delivered
Kothrud is one of Pune's genuinely established residential belts, and that history is the defining feature. Well-built older societies sit alongside newer redevelopments, so the housing stock ranges from thirty-year-old flats with generous carpet areas to fresh towers on the same road.
Most Kothrud work is about making a fixed layout work harder rather than starting from nothing. That means more usable storage, a study that survives daily use, and finishes chosen for family life rather than the showroom. Older buildings also bring real constraints — service lift access, restricted working hours, plumbing runs that cannot move — and planning around them early is what keeps a Kothrud project on schedule. HinjawadiArea guide
Hinjawadi's three IT phases have produced one of the largest concentrations of first-time homebuyers in Pune. The typical owner here is early in a tech career, buying a 2 or 3 BHK close to work, and doing a full interior for the first time with a budget they have thought about carefully.
That makes transparency the whole job. A line-item quote, a dated plan, and a clear answer on what can be deferred matter more than any single material choice. The practical layer carries these homes: ceiling-height wardrobes, a kitchen specified to be used rather than photographed, and a second bedroom planned for the several lives it will have.
Koregaon ParkArea guide
Koregaon Park remains Pune's most established premium address, with low-density buildings, older bungalow plots and a handful of high-ticket apartment projects along the lanes. Ceiling heights and plot sizes here are generous in a way newer parts of the city rarely match.
Homes in KP tend to reward restraint. The architecture usually has something worth working with — proportions, light, mature trees outside the window — so the design job is often about editing rather than adding. Natural stone, considered joinery and lighting that reveals texture at night do more here than heavy panelling ever would.
Viman NagarArea guide
Viman Nagar is prime east Pune, shaped by the airport, Phoenix Marketcity and a well-established social infrastructure. The housing is largely upscale apartments, with a mix of long-settled families and professionals moving in for the location.
Space efficiency without visible compromise is the usual brief. Reflective and lacquer wardrobe finishes, a productive home office worked into a bedroom or living corner, and storage that never announces itself all feature regularly. The aim is a flat that stays open and airy while quietly holding far more than it appears to.
Kalyani NagarArea guide
Kalyani Nagar sits just across the river from Koregaon Park and shares much of its profile — corporate executives, entrepreneurs, and a high proportion of renovation work alongside new possessions. Budgets here are among the higher ones we quote.
Kitchens and lighting take the largest share of a Kalyani Nagar brief. Internationally benchmarked modular kitchens, hidden utility storage and layered ambient schemes come up repeatedly, usually alongside multi-functional furniture that keeps the plan clean. Renovation work also means working around an occupied or partially occupied home, which changes sequencing considerably.
AundhArea guide
Aundh is a long-standing affluent neighbourhood with high purchasing power and a housing mix that spans decades — older premium societies, mid-2000s towers and a steady flow of redevelopment. Buyers here often already know the area well and are upgrading within it.
A large share of Aundh work is renovation rather than first fit-out. That brings space-saving retrofits, walk-in closets carved out of existing bedrooms, and textured wall finishes replacing tired paint. Working in an older building also means checking what is actually behind the wall before committing a drawing, which we plan for rather than discover.
Growing residential hubs
Fast-moving townships and expanding residential pockets, several of them with large handovers underway.
MahalungeArea guide
Mahalunge is where our own studio sits, so we know this township hub better than any other area we work in. It has moved quickly from open land to a cluster of premium high-rises, with large phases reaching possession together and buyers customising standard builder layouts before moving in.
Because these are new handovers, the work is almost always a complete fit-out from a bare shell. Tech-integrated workspaces, clean contemporary profiles and modular storage that flexes as a family grows are the common threads. Being local also means we can be on site quickly when something needs a decision, which matters more during execution than people expect.
BavdhanArea guide
Bavdhan has expanded rapidly along NDA Road, with premium gated sectors, large-format flats and row houses that offer more floor area than most comparable Pune addresses. The setting — quieter, greener, close to the hills — draws families who want space without leaving the west side.
Larger canvases invite grander gestures, and Bavdhan briefs often include a proper entryway, a double-height or stepped ceiling concept, and rich wooden profiles for entertaining. The risk in a big home is disconnection, so we hold one material language across rooms and let it vary rather than treating each space as a separate project.
PunawaleProject delivered
Punawale is one of the fastest-moving pockets on Pune's western edge, with new towers handing over continuously and a buyer profile dominated by first-time owners taking possession of 2 BHK apartments. Prices are still accessible relative to Baner or Balewadi, which is much of the appeal.
The work here is a complete fit-out from a bare builder handover, against a clearly defined budget. That makes sequencing and honesty about trade-offs the core of the job. Our Punawale home planned the living and dining together from the start, with a study nook worked into the layout rather than added once the joinery was already booked. See the project. Magarpatta CityArea guide
Magarpatta City is a self-contained township, and that changes the job in ways people underestimate. Layouts repeat across buildings, society rules on material movement and working hours are enforced, and service lift slots need booking — all of which shape the schedule before any design decision is made.
Because the layouts repeat, the design opportunity is in how you differ within a known plan. We tend to concentrate spend where the plan is weakest — usually storage and the kitchen — and keep the rest calm. Knowing the constraints in advance is what stops a township project from stalling halfway through execution.
PashanArea guide
Pashan sits between Baner and the university belt, with a mix of established societies, newer mid-rise projects and some larger plots toward the lakeside. Demand here is steady rather than speculative, and 3 BHK homes for settled families are the mainstay.
Pashan homes often have something worth designing around — a decent aspect, a view toward the hills, a balcony large enough to matter. Foyer entries, layered profile lighting and outdoor-facing layouts come up frequently. The work is usually less about drama and more about making a good flat feel resolved.
TathawadeArea guide
Tathawade has become one of the fastest-growing residential expansions in west Pune, driven by proximity to Hinjawadi and the highway. New societies are handing over in volume, and the buyer profile skews young, professional and first-time.
Like Punawale, most Tathawade work is a first full fit-out on a defined budget, which puts the line-item quote at the centre of the conversation. Wardrobes, kitchen and the entry drop carry the daily experience of these homes. Getting those three right delivers more satisfaction than spending the same money on visible finishes elsewhere.
HadapsarArea guide
Hadapsar covers a wide stretch of east Pune and includes some of the city's largest township developments, Amanora and Future Towers among them. Scale is the defining feature — thousands of homes, repeating layouts, and society processes that govern how work gets done.
Township rules shape everything: permitted working hours, how material reaches the flat, which lift you can use and when. We plan around those from day one rather than negotiating mid-project. Within the flat, the design work is about giving a standard plan a specific character, usually through one strong material idea repeated with variation.
ErandwaneArea guide
Erandwane sits in the Deccan Gymkhana belt and has seen substantial redevelopment, with sprawling multi-BHK apartments replacing older properties. It remains a high-ticket central address, favoured by families with long roots in the area.
Large redevelopment layouts arrive as generous but undifferentiated volumes, so the value we add is spatial planning before styling — deciding where the living zone ends and the dining begins, and how the two read as one. Layered ceiling concepts and considered transitions do the work here that furniture alone cannot.
MundhwaArea guide
Mundhwa has changed faster than almost anywhere in east Pune, with high-rise projects filling the corridor between Koregaon Park and Kharadi. It draws buyers who want proximity to both without either address's price, and possession volumes have been high.
These are predominantly new flats, so the brief is a first fit-out with an eye on resale as much as daily life. Clean contemporary detailing, a well-specified kitchen and lighting planned before wiring closes are the constants. Where the flat has a view — and many here do — we plan the living layout around it rather than around the television.
SusArea guide
Sus sits directly against the hills next to Baner, and the setting is the reason people choose it. Towers here look onto green rather than onto other towers, and the buyers tend to be corporate professionals who deliberately traded a more central address for that outlook.
That makes the landscape part of the brief. Biophilic thinking, indoor planting, timber decking on balconies and warm organic textures all sit naturally in a Sus home. The design job is largely about not competing with the window — keeping the material palette calm so the view stays the loudest thing in the room.
We have also delivered a larger-format home in Kondhwa, outside the twenty areas above.
Every area above has its own page covering the housing there, the society constraints worth knowing and what a project costs. For the numbers in detail, see what a full interior costs in Pune and our guides for homeowners.
We also take on work in Pimple Saudagar, Wagholi, Ravet and Moshi across PCMC. If your area is not listed, ask — we cover most of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
What a project costs
As a guide, a full 2 BHK interior runs ₹12–16 lakh and a full 3 BHK ₹16–21 lakh. Where a project lands within that range depends on scope, materials and finishes — you will always have a transparent line-item quote before any work begins, and a dated plan you can hold us to.
